Privacy Policy

Plain English: we collect very little, your tool inputs stay in your browser, and we don’t run analytics or tracking cookies on this site today. If anything below is unclear, email cgardner@localiq.com and we’ll answer.

What you actually need to know. The modelling tool runs entirely in your browser — the numbers you type don’t leave your device unless you choose to email them to us. We don’t use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or other tracking on this site at this time. If you book a strategy session via email, we use your email address for one thing only: to schedule and run the call.

1. Who we are

Njord is operated by Chris Gardner. Contact: cgardner@localiq.com. This policy applies to the website at buildmygrowthengine.com and the modelling tool at /tool/.

2. What we collect

We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:

Tool inputs (budget, vertical, current spend, client name, etc.): these are entered by you and processed in your browser to produce the modelled plan. They are not transmitted to or stored by us.
Email correspondence: if you email us to book a strategy session or ask a question, we receive your email address, name, and whatever you wrote. We use that information to reply, schedule the call, and follow up if you ask us to.
Server logs: our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records standard request logs (IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamp) for security and uptime purposes. These logs are retained per Netlify’s standard practices and are not used by us for profiling or marketing.

3. What we don’t collect or do

As of the “Last updated” date above:

We don’t use Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or any similar third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
We don’t set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We don’t sell or rent personal information.
We don’t share your information with third parties for their own marketing.
We don’t require you to create an account, log in, or accept a tracking-cookie banner to use the Tool.

If any of this changes (for example, if we add lightweight analytics later), we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date.

4. Cookies

The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store small bits of state locally (for example, an inputs-panel collapsed/expanded preference) so the Tool feels less repetitive on revisit. These are not shared with us or any third party.

5. The modelling tool’s edge functions

Two server-side helpers support the Tool:

Benchmarks endpoint — serves the published industry CPL benchmarks the Tool anchors against. This endpoint sends data out; it does not receive any personal data from you.
Account-scan endpoint — optional; if you choose to paste a URL, the endpoint fetches and analyses the publicly available page at that URL and returns a summary. The URL you submit is processed at request time and is not stored as a customer record by us.

6. PDF export

When you click “Export to PDF,” the plan is generated entirely in your browser via the print dialog. The PDF is yours; we don’t receive a copy.

7. Children

The site and Tool are intended for business operators. They are not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws such as Canada’s PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), or similar regimes. These can include the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and the right to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email cgardner@localiq.com — we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to safeguard the limited information we do hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

10. Third-party links

The site may link to third-party sites (academic sources, LocaliQ’s site, etc.). Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect the most recent revision. If changes are material, we’ll do our best to flag them clearly on the site.
